With every recording I try to tell a story. Live recordings are not the actual performance, but they should evoke the truth just as a good story can, and the good ones may be so good they feel real.

Projects:

Eclat Eclat (a 2 CD set for the 30th anniversary of the Bethlehem Music Series) - released! Contact me if you'd like a complimentary copy (yes, really - free!).
Eclat Ongoing recordings for the Bethlehem Music Series. Last season, my recordings of the Tchaikovsky Piano Trio (Keefe, Ross and Lovelace) and The World Beloved (Monroe Crossing and the Bethlehem Senior Choir) were featured on MPR's Regional Spotlight.
Eclat Recorded and played on a CD (Beguiled World) with Tim Gustafson.
Eclat Recording project for the choir of St. Thomas Becket in Eagan.

Check out my audio blog in the Resources menu, where you can find audio how-to and technique articles. There are some media samples, too, for your enjoyment.

I've also added a software development blog to document my adventures in developing this site. If you're a coder, maybe you'll find a nugget or two there. This site is a work in progress, and I'll try to keep documenting those gotcha or a-ha moments.

I'd love to be the engineer for your next recording project, be it a live concert, on-location session, or a multitrack project in the studio. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. I'm especially interested in your comments about using this site with smartphones or tablets.
